Description

Crispy roasted Brussels sprouts tossed in a sweet and tangy honey balsamic glaze. This easy side dish is full of flavor and pairs perfectly with any meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb Brussels sprouts, stems removed and halved
  • 1 tbsp avocado oil
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 4 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, grated

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare Brussels Sprouts: Slice Brussels sprouts in half and spread them out on a large baking sheet.
  3. Season & Roast: Drizzle with avocado oil, season with salt and pepper, and toss to coat. Arrange cut side down. Roast for 18-20 minutes until golden and crispy.
  4. Make the Glaze: While the Brussels sprouts roast, heat a small saucepan over medium heat. Add olive oil, honey, balsamic vinegar, and grated garlic.
  5. Simmer the Sauce: Stir and let it simmer over medium-low heat for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. The sauce will thicken as it cools.
  6. Toss & Serve: Remove Brussels sprouts from the oven and toss them with the balsamic glaze. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, broil the Brussels sprouts for the last 2-3 minutes.
  • Add toasted pecans, walnuts, or crispy bacon for extra texture.
  • Use maple syrup instead of honey for a vegan option.
