- 5 – 6 cups (800 g) fresh or frozen peaches, sliced or diced
Sugar:
- 1 cup (200 g) sugar
Lemon or Lime Juice:
- 1 – 3 teaspoons (5 – 15 ml) lemon or lime juice
Instructions
- Prepare the Sugar: If using regular granulated sugar, process in a food processor until a finer texture is achieved.
- Combine Ingredients: Add peaches and lemon juice, then pulse 5 – 10 times to combine.
- Blend: Process the mixture until smooth, scraping the sides as needed.
- Freeze: Transfer the mixture to a container and freeze for 4 hours (frozen peaches) or 6 – 8 hours (fresh peaches).
- Serve: Allow sorbet to sit at room temperature for 5 minutes before scooping.
Notes
- This sorbet can be stored in the freezer for up to 1 month.
- For a fun twist, serve sorbet with prosecco for a peach bellini.
- If making large batches, adjust sugar accordingly and process in multiple batches.
